Welcome to the official website of The Clowes and Dunlap Band

The Clowes and Dunlap Band, named after the two familes involved, formed in July of 2008 as a pick-up band and made their first appearance that night at the Pig Town Fling in Augusta, WV. An enthusiastic audience and a good time prompted them to stay together as a formal group. Since then they have fared well in regional competitions both as a band and as individual contestants. Their music is a good mix of traditional and progressive bluegrass, along with unique original material. Liza Dunlap, of Wardensville WV, provides steady backup guitar, lead, and harmony vocals. Her brother-in-law, Jack Dunlap, from Winchester VA plays mandolin and some lead guitar, and sings lead and harmony. Gina Clowes, of Winchester VA, sings harmony and lead vocals in addition to playing banjo, and her husband Paul keeps it all together on bass.
